Every day I sin. No matter how hard I try not to sin, I still sin. This topic always brings me to the book of Romans. Paul wrote this book and in chapter 7 of the NIV he writes, “For I do not do the god I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do – this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.”
If you read the Bible you have probably encountered the small book of James a time or two. James is a book in the New Testament that was written by Jesus’ half-brother, James. It is a very unique book, and although it is very short it is packed full of great advice that is applicable to our lives today.
I started attending a new church about a year and a half ago. It is a very large church with a congregation of several thousand. After going there for the last year or so, I realized that I really don’t know anybody there. The best way to get to know people is to get involved, so that is what I did.
